Shaving with a Fatboy

I do a three pass shave with a fatboy. I have the razor set on 6 for my WTG pass. 5 for my XTG pass. And, 4 for my ATG pass. I am curious to hear from others who may do the opposite and start with a low setting and finish with a higher setting.

I don't fiddle with the setting during the shave. I usually leave it on 5 or 6.

so far I am just on a 3 for all three passes

When i used one for the first time, i started my first pass on 6; the cockyness then entered my head and on the next pass ramped it up to 9... Boy was that a mistake!!! I'm pretty sure i was leaving skin behind on my razor....

Beginner on setting 9 with sub standard technique is certainly not advised...

Every time I've tried a fatboy I've regretted it so far. I seem to have developed whatever technique is necessary to give me perfect shaves with an SS Red Tip, and it sure doesn't transfer well to a fatboy.

I figure I'll give it another whirl next time I don't have to leave the house.
