Shavemaster1??

Is there some history with this guy? He calls out the forum so to speak:

"THIS IS SHOW ALL OF MY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OVER AT BADGER AND BLADE THAT THESE 1950 SUPER-SPEEDS WERE STAMPED BOTH WAYS. GUYS, I HAVE ONLY BEEN COLLECTING SHAVING ITEMS FOR ABOUT 35 YEARS AND OWNED OR SOLD JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING GILLETTE HAD EVER MADE. PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK OVER THERE. OH AND ONE MORE THING, LIKE THEY SAY IN HOLLYWOOD, THERES NO SUCH THING AS BAD PUBLICITY."

Cut from his listing for a rare $350.00 superspeed.

His old eBay ID was ptbsr. I think he is a member here under that name. I am not aware of the controversy he alludes to.

There's already another thread asking about this razor.

$350 for a Superspeed? Just because a date code is upside down? :cursing:

I hope there are no suckers that will pay that.

And calling out a forum for some beef on a different forum is just poor form.

There's already another thread asking about this razor.

In the old thread I mentioned that my 1950 V3 stamped Super Speed had the V3 stamped in the same direction as the trademark and pkg. notice. The other owners here have only seen it stamped upside down. So I asked if mine was a fake and received no answer. I'm glad to see his statement that was posted here. I don't see where he's calling down anybody at all. His statement was quite friendly and informative. What's the beef?

As for his prices on a couple of the rare razors, he can ask whatever he wants. His auctions are bin and Make an Offer. I recently bought two razors from him that were very fairly priced. They were not rare and the prices were so fair I didn't see a need to make a lower offer. I will buy from him anytime. He's a good guy.

 I certainly don't have a "beef" with the ebay seller, the OP here, you, or anyone else for that matter. I was simply referring to another thread on this subject. An opinion was neither inferred nor implied.

Sorry Tim. The comment was not addressed to you. I was actually glad you pointed out the old thread as it probably pointed to the reason for the seller's comment.
