Took a trip to see SWMBO's grandparents. They used to be huge antique collectors, and her grandfather gave me this shave mug and said it was very very old and worth a bit of money. He also let me choose one razor out of a few he had so I chose this one as it was in the best condition of them all. The blade has one or two very tiny nicks in it which I'm sure I can fix. I'm new to honing so I think I will wait a while until I try doing so. Can anyone identify these or tell me anything about them? The razor says Twins on it. I can't read what the other side of the blade says until I clean it. Scales and everything are in superb condition though. Pictures to follow.

Those old, decorative shaving mugs are hilly collectible. I don't know anything about valuing them, but I've personally seen the occupational ones goe for over three hundred bucks in mint condition. As for the razor, it's a real good one. Sounds like you are part of the family now.

Thanks guys, I had trouble finding anything about the mug but the razor I've seen before on this website. Both are in very good condition. I guess I am part of the family!
I have seen that design on a mug before. The one I remember was produced for a St. Louis supply house, as I recall.
