[Class 30.] The clamping-nut, cam, or screw d of a safety razor is mounted on the clamping-plate a by means of a transverse hinge-pin p to allow limited pivotal movement of the screw so that the clamping-plate may be reversed end-for-end on a razor, such as that described in Specification 298,877, in which the guard b has a fixed inclination relative to the handle c. The screw d pivots in a forked part k secured to the clamping-plate, which latter may be used with ordinary safety razors. The Provisional Specification states also that the handle is permanently but rotatably secured to the guard by spinning or riveting its tubular end over the central hole therein.
