Anyone enjoy Showtime's Shameless? The first season left me cold - the characters weren't particularly likable. Seasons 2 and 3 hooked me. It is like watching a train wreck. Some of the most messed up things I've ever seen on TV have been on this show.

I started watching it when it came out. But got rid of Showtime at about episode 4, havent watched since. I have Showtime again and your words have got me really interested...
Absolutely love this show! It is just so funny. Like you said..... A train wreck unfolding on the TV screen. They really push the limits of decency each episode. I cannot even guess what will happen next season.
The original version BBC is on Netflix. I actually prefer it. It is also different enough that you can enjoy both.

I've got it in my queue. As soon as this season is over, I'll be watching the BBC version.
Havent watched the bbc version, but i love the showtime version. makes me feel soo much better about myself.
I love the show, again watching a train wreck. I've only seen bits and peices of season 1. Season 2 and 3 have me though. Reminds me of some of the households I knew growing up (only rural). I also have worked with a large number of families in my Social Work career, not unlike the Gallaghers.
That show is so twisted and well written that even my wife watches it (and she spends most of her time on the OWN channel).

The Showtime remake is decent. Some of the characters are an improvement and Macy is great but there can only be one Frank Gallagher.
