Sensitive Soaps

Hey guys, being new here, I've discovered it may be beneficial to use a shaving soap as opposed to a cream. Right now I use the art of shaving unscented cream. I'm thinking I'd like to get into shaving soaps but am looking for recommendations for sensitive skin. Thanks very much in advance for the help!

Proraso makes one they label as for sensitive skin. It is in my rotation & I really like it.

I also have a lot of others that are not explicitly labeled as such & I have no issues w/ any of them (other Proraso, Arko, AOS, et. al.). So, honestly, I don't know if there really is THAT much of a difference overall. I found that improving my technique & getting good blades helped out my sensitive skin out immensely.

Very cool, thanks so much. Sounds like a lot of peopole like Arko...think I'll give Proraso and Arko a try. Thanks!

I have sensitive skin and Mike's is about the best I have used so far. I have the orange, black pepper and cedarwood. It only contains essential oils, which to me is a great thing.

I have sensitive skin that rejects a lot of soaps. The ones that work for me are: Art of shaving lavender, Proraso, Proraso sensitive, Speick stick, Valobra stick, and Arko. Glycerine soaps don't bother me as long as they are scented with essential oils.

How about VDH Glycerin Shave Soap?

It is a hypo-allergenic shave soap containing 40% moisturizers that helps protect even the most sensitive skin with vitamin E and oat extract that helps soothe skin and protect against razor burn. Also it's readily available in many stores (I use VDH Deluxe as my 'go-to' soap), a proven performer and its cheap.

TOBS Jermyn Street Collection is designed for sensitive skin. They have it in soap or cream. Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera shaving soap is also good for sensitive skin.

Thank all of you so much for the advice....I picked up some art of shaving non scented and had a great shave. I'll try some of the others you all have so nicely recommended as well.

Thanks so much! Always nice when you can go to the store and see it before you buy it online. Thanks!!

The glycerine is actually nice and a very underrated soap IMO. If you have not yet been able to find it shoot me a PM, I have a few extra unopened pucks laying around, I'll send you one to try at no cost.
