Sensitive Skin??

As I read some of the posts about shaving, it seems that most of us seem to have sensitive skin, or so we think. Is it really possible that so many of us are afflicted or is it just poor technique? What are the hallmark signs of the dreaded "sensitive skin"?

I have only recently discovered that I don't actually have sensitive skin. I was just doing it wrong for all those years.

I concur. I believed that I could only use extra sensitive formula gels and aftershaves when I was using Mach III's and Fusions, and then I could only shave every other day. And every once in a while, I'd have to go to a doctor and get a small perscription for an antibiotic to fight a facial breakout.

I've never had a problem since switching to a DE, and I can use alcohol-based AS with no problems, and shave daily.

I think good technique could help a lot of sensitive skin issues for a lot of guys. I'm not saying that there are no people with sensitive skin, but here's one who thought he had a problem with it!
