Semogue 2012 LE

Has anyone used the Semogue 2012 LE mixed badger & boar for face lathering? How does it perform?

I love this brush. So much so that I purchased a backup. I only face lather. I previously wrote a brief review of the Semogue mixed-knots, which I find are the best of all worlds.

It's a little big for face lathering for me. However I like smaller brushes for my face.

It was a bit too large overall and on the scritchy side to be a good face latherer for me. I ended up selling it. YMMV, of course.

I have no trouble face lathering with it. It is a bit bigger than my other brushes, but it performs like a champ. Lots of back bone with minimal scritch, but not prickly at all.

It's a great brush for face lathering. Plenty of backbone and great for creams or soaps. I do agree that it can be a tad scritchy. I'm hoping that it still needs breaking in.
The fit and feel of the handle is superb.

There's a Semogue Special Edition being sold right now at the portuguese shaving forum, Barbear Clássico. They are offering 3 kinds of brush: a boar, a badger and a mix. They started shipping today.

The mix is being sold for 35 euros, I think it's a great price.
