Semogue 1305 Boar

I am looking to purchase a higher quality brush. I currently use a Tweezerman pure badger. I want a brush that will lather well and feel soft to my face. This Tweezerman can be scratchy.

Would a Semogue 1305 be a good choice?

Semogue 1305 is a good boar brush. I had one for a while. No longer have any boar brushes but Semogue makes some very high quality boar brushes. You would not go wrong with one, if you like boar brushes

I could always lend you one of Ella's paint brushes if you would like. Great quality and water absorption. Perfect for a scratch-filled laathering. Get them while they are hot! Yeah! Laughing.

The 1305 has been my overall favorite boar, size and loft of the five boars I have tried. You won't go wrong buying the 1305. Very comfortable handle.

I am also a fan of the 1305. In fact, it's the only boar I own. If you buy it, be patient as it will get better and better as it breaks in.

Not wanting to hijack the thread but FYI; I own a Semogue 830 & find it a lather machine, plus its gorgeous on the face, very soft tips. I'll also be picking up a SOC boar this month as I've heard good things there too!

I whole heartedly support the 1305! I had a VDH boar, then a Parker Badger. Got the 1305 and it performed better very quickly. I've been using it for over a month and the lather capability has only gotten better and better.

I have a 1305. Nice brush, no issues with it at all. For sure it is a nice handle. I still prefer my Omega 11126 though...just a better brush for me.

The 1305 is a fantastic brush. It doesn't take too long to break in and is great with soap. It lathers like there's no tomorrow.
Here it is with the M&F Chief on the left and the SOC boar on the right.
