Segal Blades: Can they be made?

I saw a Segal over on B/S/T, and it reminded me that I own a Segal razor. The only problem? No blades. But it got me wondering. Since the only apparent difference between a Segal blade is the oval missing from the center, and a Segal blade can fit in a regular DE razor, could someone with something like a computer controlled laser cutter be able to cut blades to fit? It appears someone could make a pretty penny converting any regular brand DE blade into a Segal blade.

Take a look at these blades.

The old Silver Stars had the center opened up and may be workable with the old Segal. The down side is that these 60 year old blades are rough shaving.

I took some photos of a Segal Blade to show exactly what needs to be removed for a regular DE blade to fit. Sadly, those Star blades have nowhere near enough.

If you find a good way to modify regular DE blades let me know. I also have a Segal and would love to try it. I was able to get some blades from Country Joes But haven't tried them as they were quite expensive.

I just found out he had them. I've seen him twice before at my local flea market, but now I will have to ask if I can buy some.

But it seems that someone with access to a laser cutter could lay the blades out and have the machine cut the proper hole out of any blade, without warping the blade. This would allow for blades such as the Feather to be used with this fine(I say that without ever having shaved with mine) razor.
