Now that I've been DE shaving for four months, I'd like to purchase a second brush so go along with my EJ Medium Best Badger. I use creams exclusively and bowl lather. Would like to try a good Boar unless another Badger would fit the bill better. As always, your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. ncundertaker - "The last man to shave you"

SOC - best bowl lathering brush I know. It's also popular for face lathering.
Agree, as the combo of loft, handle size, and backbone fit bowl lathering perfectly.
I started with an EJ best and upgraded into an EJ silvertip and Omega boar. I love them both but I think the boar was about $120 cheaper or so. I'd go with the boar first.
if u enjoy mainly creams then invest in a nice silvertip. TGN or whipped dog carry them. or buy a name brand model one
+1, love my SOC to complement my badger.
I highly recommend you venture into the world of face lathering just to give it a shot before you make another purchase focused on a bowl. Also, if you aren't in a hurry, look in to a custom brush made by a B&B hobbyist to get exactly what you are looking for instead of a mass produced cookie cutter in my opinion. I have an excellent Bob Farvour brush, Rudy Vey is also legendary.

Thanks for your replies and suggestions. I plan to order the SOC from WCS as well as the B&B Omega just for the heck of it.
