Seaforth shaving mug

I have an old Seaforth mug that is starting to lose its logo. Are there anyways that it can be preserved? I'm thinking clear nail polish, but maybe there are better alternative out there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it's the Seaforth mug with a decal on it, which would be a pottery mug, instead of the latter milk glass, absolutely don't use nail polish on it!! I tried on my Seaforth mug, and the decal simply became a smeared mess of goop. The end result was a mug with no writing on it at all!!

Thats good to know, there are a lot of those mugs and Seaforth AS jugs out there that are missing the decals. I've also read that just washing removes the decals.

I wonder about that stuff they spray chalk art?

The problem with the nail polish, is that it needs to be brushed on. Upon application, it turns the decal to liquid. Any further brushing simply turns the decal into a useless pile of goop.

I am thinking that a spray acrylic may work better, but the issue will be, that once applied the decal will be wet, and thus extremely unstable. It may run/smear simply from being wet.
