Scrubbing Bubbles - German equivalent?

Hi, I'm going to clean some Gillettes I recently got.
I live in Germany and would like to know: What's a German equivalent to Scrubbing Bubbles?

Have the same plan, but I'm in Holland...thanks

I'm not sure what either would be, but I'm sure that checking with someone at any hardware type store could help.

In the meantime try using regular toothpaste and an old tooth brush. Just rub some on with your fingers and clean out the hard to reach places with the brush. Rinse with hot water, and buff dry with an old towel. This works very good, and won't damage the razor. :thumbup1:

I don't know the German equivalent but the product is a bathroom cleaner that sprays foam from the aerosol can. I would search in the cleaning products section of your supermarket. I would think there are cleaning products like Scrubbing Bubbles worldwide. In any case good luck in your search. This type of product is wonderful for all types of cleaning chores. As an example it really makes my kitchen stainless steel sink shine like no other product. Plus it is anti-bacterial.

I wouldn't think in terms of a hardware store. Generically, "Scrubbing Bubbles" is a bathtub & tile cleaner, specifically intended for dissolving soap scum. There are abrasive cleansers that are used for the same purpose but this product is intended to do it strictly chemically.

Comet makes a bathroom cleaner/soap scum remover that also works very well. Not the abrasive Comet in powder form.

Thank you for your help, I now think I found it. We don't have the mousse, but we have "Cif Bad & Dusche" (for bathroom and shower):

It's the upper one.

The other Cif products seem to be too aggressive (contain abrasives, bleach, citric acid,...)
Do you put your razors in a solution of that stuff with water, or do you pour some of the product in a dish and use it pure?

Speaking for myself, I spray the razor with the pure cleaner and scrub with an old toothbrush. I then leave it for a half minute or so then rinse it off thoroughly.

I believe you chose the cream version. I suspect you will have to experiment but you don't want it too thick. It has to get into the hard to reach areas. And please let us know how you make out. This product is sold in 51 countries by Unilever which I think is a British/Dutch company. It's sold under 4 or 5 names. So your experience will help our members from different countries looking for products to clean their razors.
