Scent saver - lid for OS mugs

I bought some PS Green Tea for my newly acquired Old Spice mug. Very nice soap, but very delicately scented. Since soaps exposed to air eventually lose their scent, I went to Lowes looking for something I could use as a lid and came up with this:

It's a plug for a garbage disposal. Soft rubber, and the lip makes it fit perfectly in the mug, like so:

Thanks for the tip. Will try to source something similar in UK. I've been looking at lids for pet food tins! :lol:
 
You shouldn't steal the lids off of margarine containers at your grocery store. Believe it or not, some people eat that stuff... and it probably isn't good for it to be uncovered for so long. But then again, with margarine who could tell? Excuse me while I go put a nice thick pat of butter on some toast.

What he said...hard to come by a margarine lid when I only use butter. :001_tt2:
