Saving the Lather :)

Well, I am addicted enough that I find myself making lather even when I don't need to shave. I thought I could use the practice with the soaps, and tonight I finally got it. I had the soap in a coffee mug, soaked the brush in hot water, did a few whirls and began lathering in a bowl. I got a huge bowl full of what I consider to be beautiful lather. Here's when the light bulb went off. The bowl I had used was one of those glade disposables with a lid. Why not save the lather to use later?? Does anybody do this? Does it work ok? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!---BR

No, I don't save the lather, but like many others, I do use the lather as a skin conditioner for the hands. Read the thread below.

I guess I should also state that I don't mean saving lather from shave to shave. LOL, but rather when I do this practice. Or maybe just making lather up a few times a week instead of every morning.

You could TRY but I'm 99% sure you'd find that the lather you made up the night before would be worthless. It's almost impossible to keep it from drying out. Even in a sealed container. If time is the issue try face lathering.

I save the left over lather to use the next day. Usually I don't have enough to do all the passes I desire, but adding more product is easy enough.

One reason that face lathering is so nice is by the time you are done, the whiskers are ready to cut.
