Has anyone tried this? I have a small sample and it's really excellent. It works well as both a pre-shave and an aftershave balm. I'm not crazy about the scent, but it doesn't last long. Seems like a great, albeit expensive, sensitive skin choice for cold weather. It would probably be too heavy for summer.

I bought a tub of this when I was at the Santa Maria Novella pharmacia in Florence. It is absolutely fantastic stuff. The scent is kind of talcum powdery. However the price makes it about the most expensive (per gram) shaving product I have ever bought. If I had a larger shave budget I would buy more, but as it is, it is a luxury that I will be foregoing for a while.
Melagrano ... I believe it's the same scent as the the pomegranate aftershave. It's terrific stuff. Nothing subtle about any of the SMN scents to me ... grins. I use it as a pre shave.

I agree about the powdery scent. It's not my favorite, but this stuff is still on my list for when the shave products budget is a bit more generous. I am very impressed.
I also have a sample of the Non-Alcoholic Aftershave/Emulsione Analcolica, which I haven't tried yet.

That one's pretty darn good as well. But the Before & After cream is truly outstanding.
Yes, a really minute quantity mixed with my *** moisturizes my skin in winter. In summer a minute quantity of Non-Alcoholic Aftershave/Emulsione Analcolica is the better choice.
The fragrance is the same as the Melograno cologne one. the non-alcoholic lotion has a light standard cologne fragrance.

SMN balm is a nice pre or post shave cream. Very moderate scent, lavender and woods to my nose.
