Sale on less than perfect T&H

Shavingshop.com is having a sale on T&H creams that are less than perfect. I picked up a tub of T&H Grafton for $12. They also seem to have a good price on the T&H luxury shaving soap refill (also $12). Check out:

thanks for the tip, didn't see any grafton, but they still had tubs of TH lavender for $12.00, awesome deal! Also didn't see any note about the items being less than perfect.

They may be out of the Grafton scent. Here is the quote (it's in red on their website ) describing the $12 cream:

"This is one of several varieties of Truefitt & Hill shaving cream in a tub that haven't sold well and never had the lids properly tightened when the cream was poured and packaged. Some of it is now like a paste and some is like a soft soap. Both are perfectly usable just like you would use a shaving soap but are no longer sellable as a shaving cream."

For $12, I think it's worth a shot. I'll post again when I receive my cream and have a shave with it.

I got two of these, the Grafton and the Lavender, both are working excellent! Just use a little less that you would normally do, as he posted they are a bit like a very soft soap.

T&H creams sold from shaving shop are from 2004.

I still have not received my order. I'll post after I use it, so others will know how a poorly kept 5 year old cream fairs. The way I look at it, I either wasted a relatively small amount of money ($12), or I saved a good deal of money. I just hope the cream still smells like it is supposed to. That way, even if the cream hasn't aged well, I'll get to learn how I like the Grafton scent.

Both creams I got perform excellently! They are a bit thicker, similar in consistency to the Castle Forbes creams. I compared the Grafton to a sample I bought from T+H and I don't see any difference, smells the same and lathers the same, the shave is the same. So for me a good deal, I think I paid something like $30 shipped for two tubs.
