How can I fix this? I have been using it very sparingly for three years. Literally, it may have 25 shaves on it. What can i do about it? My normal routine is soak it in water, lather up, rinse brush and squeeze water out, and then rub it on a towel to get the extra water out. I stand it up in the handle and leave it out to dry. It has started losing three to four hairs per use. I'm angry, this thing was expensive for me!

My Rooney is the same. It is a 3/2 that was my first good brush.
I had to stop using it because it sheds a good 3 or more hairs every shave.
I don't have any good tips for you, but I can share your pain.
It is really frustrating.
At one time I was going to remove the knot and put in a TGN finest. I actually can see where the hair is thinning out in one section.

Three years is a long time, so it's possible the vendor won't be able or willing to do anything about it -- but I would start there.
