I've had a black pair of Rockports for going on 10 years since I wear them rarely.
My dad's had 3-4 pairs since he wears his daily in the same timespan.
They're not a high dollar shoe but they wear well for daily office wear without worrying if something happens to them.
As to comfort, i don't like the laces they come with, but i've literally run half a mile or more to catch a flight in mine without any issues. They're comfy enough.
