rocket flairtip ss

i have 2 rocket flairtip superspeeds, one has an s on the base plate, the other has the standard II underneath, now i thought these razors were identical apert from the markings underneath the base plates, but looking at them it seems the one with the s has a more flat lower profile head, the s razor is on the left on the pics, i dont know if people can notice the differances on the pics, i know my photo skills are not up to much. $razor 2 148.jpg$razor 2 149.jpg$razor 2 150.jpg$razor 2 151.jpg

The razor marked with the "S" looks to be a later style similar to U.S. made units of that time.
Is there a number on the other side of the handle not visible in the photo?
If so it would be a 1972.

yep inside it has 694093 like most of my rocket razors have, this is the first i have come across with the s instead of II,i got the razor without any box or case, i was thinking it might be part of some kind of gillette set, you know the kind of thing gillette done with the box and a can of shaving foam as a gift.

Sorry I was thinking more like a single digit, (1,2,3 or 4). At some point I thought Gillette started using date codes.

i get you, like the us gillettes have L1 or y2, the brit razors dont seem to have this, its either patent pending or 694093 inside or underneath a II and made in england, weird why yhey never date coded them like the us razors.
