What's new

Robert Graham Shirts

Anyone own any or have any experince with ?

Looking at buying some new long sleeve shirts for evening out and these have caught my eye, but looking to see if there are opinions out there as they are quite pricey. :001_smile

I've tried 'em on. You guessed it -- they are pricey. English Laundry is the same flash for much less cash -- but quality issues are present. RG is under $100 ($70?) if you have a Nordstrom Rack nearby... cheapest I've seen.

Most of it is far too flashy for my ***, but some of them are really nice without overdoing it. Know which is which.

Seems to be a long-lasting shirt and requires ironing after each wash.

I can't even think of another brand as flashy to compare against -- Hugo Boss Orange? English Laundry, but they are half the cost... I don't know. I guess it's not my area of expertise. I do know they are quality but cost comes with that.

I have a couple of the English Laundry shirts as well, the only issue I have had with them is their sizing is wack. I usually wear an XL shirt but I need a Triple X in the English Laundry.

I'll check Nordstrom rack as I do have a couple within driving distance, thanks for the head's up.

Big fan of Graham shirts. Have many of them (most from Nordstrom's out of season sale). I like them more than English Laundry, but I am flashy and a big guy. English Laundry just doesn't fit me well. Now you mention sizing issues. You will have the same issues with Robert Graham and most British shirts. Their sizing runs much slimmer than US sizes.

If you know cm to inches conversion, you can see how british sizes are lazily made smaller. So just round a size up. I will fold that English Laundry is hilariously mis-sized (2-3 sizes small). I think a lot of "hip" clothing companies do this (not Ed Hardy, but most of the rest of 'youthly' brands, which I think EL is going for). So try before you buy!

Actually, the US is out of step with the rest of the world. A Large in the US is an Extra Large in UK/Oz, Extra Large in US is and Extra Extra Large here and so on.

I'm assuming this is to soften the blow to US citizens of their ever expanding waistlines? :001_smile

Who could take offense to that :confused1

To the OP, I have quite a few RG shirts, and they are really well made. There are few shirts that I like more than these, but one is Bogosse.

Your right, maybe a little harsh so I'll change my response. To each his own. I do like a lot of Ben Sherman clothing.
