Rite Aid double edge razors

Those OEM Personnas were my first replacement blades after the Feathers that came with my Popular were gone.

I loved them and was happy to find that Israeli Blues and Personna Labs give the same smooth, comfy results (for less money!) in all my axes!

Decent blade if you are completely out and need something fast.

As mentioned look at the packaging and if it says USA it is made in the ASR plant in Verona VA (personna barber blade) If it says Korea it is a Dorco blade

May the shaving gods keep Korean blades -in whatever packaging- far away from me! I believe they're made in a plant on Beer Can Boulevard. :a36:

I had a B&B member send me a Dorco disposable straight razor blade that I used in my Cobra. Found it to be as good as Feather or KAI blades as far as sharpness. smoothness, and longevity.

I have never purchase a Dorco DE blade nor have I used one so can only comment on that single disposable straight injector blade which I found good enough for me to try to get Dorco to sell me a CASE (1000 blades) of them and directly import to me (which they did not want to do for some reason )

I know this is a rather old thread, but I personally used razors from Rite Aid. I have extremely sensitive skin, so these provide comfortable shaves without razor burn.

If I am not mistaken, one pack costs $7 and change. Not bad at all.

Merkur = Derby = AVOID (YMMV). However, Dorco blades are only slightly duller than a round river stone. A sharpened stick with protruding rusty nails would be better than a Dorco blade. Heck, my dog can gnaw a bone closer than a Dorco can shave! Maybe Dorco blades are to blame for Kim Jung Un's delusions of grandeur, if he can successfully shave with them, he has reason to believe himself special...

If you get a sample pack, toss out the Derby and Merkur blades. Perform an exorcism on any blade made in South Korea and then burn those. They are Dorco blades and have no known beneficial use.

Derby blades are made in Heck, it's just this side of hell.
Dorco blades are made in hell.

YMMV for Dorco too, but I doubt it!

I've used these recently and I was surprised by just how well they performed, better than most blades I've used before.

I buy them when they go on sale and are the made in Israel kind. They work well as personnas should.
I don't really care that they cost $.50 a blade. I use straights primarily, so the 15 pack will last me for a long time

I recently tried (again) the white label Rite Aid blades, as I have not been able to find Polsilver/Iridiums anywhere and the Feathers I bought on Amazon seemed a bit harsh. I was pleasantly surprised. These gave 3 excellent 3-pass shaves, a bit raspy on the 4th. This is a much better result than I got in 2013 when the blades were so bad that I tossed them. These newer ones say "Made in Germany" on the dispenser. Also, I love the dispenser as opposed to the over-glued individual wrappers on Feathers and Iridiums. Just like the old Gillette Supers!!
