RIP Mark Lanegan

We lost a great singer today, Mark Lanegan. Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age, and numerous brilliant solo and collaborations.

A bit of a kook, but yeah, he was pretty good.

I’ve been listening to his albums all day. An interesting and troubled character, but very talented.

If you have not read it, his autobiography is pretty entertaining. I like Autobiographies where they are not afraid to present an unvarnished version of themselves. He admits to being a complete F-up.

I didn't know he was on the "Mad Season" album!? Wow.

He was a good singer. Our basement band covered Screaming Trees songs. I am a huge fan of the Mad Season album but didn't pay attention to them after Layne Staley died.
I'll have to go back and listen to the work Mark did.

Never saw Screaming Trees or Queens. Saw him on a bill with Nick Cave, otherwise a few times doing his solo stuff - unforgettable
