Still one of my top 3 favorite groups of all time. He was pretty amazing.

Funny & sad story. Before rheumatoid arthritis forced me to stop playing I was known around New Orleans for playing guitar and singing gospel/folk songs at churches, youth rallies, etc.. A lady in my church got a frantic call from her mother who was sobbing uncontrollably. Apparently she was devistated when she heard the report that "gutarist, Ronnie Van Zandt was killed in a plane crash" what her older mind heard was guitarist Ronnie Van Huss (my name) was killed in a plane crash. At least I knew that she cared for me. God speed Gary!
