Richard III's skeleton found under parking lot

A great story, but I'm having a hard time thinking up a terrible joke that combines a line from the Shakespeare play with "found under parking lot." I thought of, "A Ford Mustang! A Ford Mustang! My kingdom for a Ford Mustang!" It's definitely awful, but not quite clever enough. Alack.

Many years ago (late '60s, to be more exact), I read a story by Josephine Tey entitled "The Daughter of Time" about Richard III. Has anybody read that book more recently? Is it worth a re-read? Maybe someone could even post a short review?

No doubt Leicester city council will charge his descendants many millions as a parking charge for all those years.

I believe the line you're thinking of is, "A Hearse! A Hearse! My Kingdom for a Hearse!"

Yeah, but this particular one died a violent death when a rival clan brought a large gang of armed men and attacked his group of armed men, in a turf war for control of ...

... oh, nevermind.

518 years ... times 52 ... times seventeen quid eighty pence ...

...479,460.80 quid.

(Honestly, I thought it'd be more. But I guess now we know what a "king's ransom" is worth in today's world.)

Ditto.
I even double-checked your math because I was sure you had slipped a decimal.

Ya know, if the family is well-off, half a mill wouldn't be a bad gesture and would certainly gain some political favor.
