rhodium plated us aristocrat?

Didn't the seller indicate that it was a replate? "...custom plated in rhodium.... Gillette never offered this model with rhodium plating".

"This razor is custom plated in rhodium. This model was the first twist-to-open (TTO) razor Gillette ever made (see an introductory ad below). Gillette never offered this model with rhodium plating."
wasn't clear to me- what he meant by "never offered"; never offered to the public? and wasn't clear what "custom plated" meant? custom plated by whom? i assume the consensus is it was custom plated by the seller.

ok dont kill me for this but what happened with this vendor or is there a place I could find out? Saw their site and they look to have some nice stuff. Just looking for some info in case the bug ever bites to drop a dime there :)

Due to violation of site terms of service, a couple of vendors have been blocked from using B&B. We don't take this step lightly, doing so only after a pattern of violations and unheeded warnings. As a result of blocked vendors' actions, we do not wish B&B to serve as a source of advertisement for these firms. As such, you'll find their website and company names blocked (attempts to circumvent this block are, of course, inappropriate). We encourage you to discuss and patronize any of the dozens of vendors who faithfully serve the wetshaving community in a manner mindful of our simple terms of service here at B&B.

For the record, you'll know a banned vendor when you attempt to type in their name and ...................... posts instead. Most folks see this, realize the situation, take heed of the fact that a vendor whose conduct here was so egregious so as to get them not only banned, but banned and filtered, may not be the best place to throw their hard-earned money, and move on.

A few folks seem to take delight in attempting to circumvent the filter. Surprise, surprise, nine times out of ten these guys are affiliated with the banned vendor (or the banned vendor himself). As always, we appreciate any assistance our members can provide in helping us identify these individuals so they cannot further prey upon our members in good standing.

Long story short, sure, drama in the forums is interesting, but in the case of a banned and filtered vendor, there are many reasons why they're no longer here, hours of moderation time spent making that decision, and, though it's your money and you're free to spend it however you wish, every reason to believe that it'd be better to spend it elsewhere.

Thanks for raising these questions. I'm always happy to see questions such as this one, as they reflect a high level of caring for B&B and its members. Kudos. :thumbup1:

Likewise thanks for taking the time to give an answer and for the undoubted hours of moderation time you and others put in :001_smile
