I asked in another thread what the approximate value of one of my Rockets was. While skimming through the BST looking for similar Rockets to mine, I came across the Rhodium plated TV Rockets.
That got me thinking, how would you know if a razor is Rhodium plated or Chrome plated? The handle on my regular Rocket isn't as bright as my Flare Tip rocket even thought it is in better over all condition.
I don't think the case for my Flare Tip is correct, even though it looks almost identical to the one for the TV Rocket on Mr. Razor's site. My reasoning is that it is an American case with with English and Spanish wording on the bottom.
I can't get a clear picture of the bottom to show the writing but it is laid out likes this
RAZOR PATENT 2,562,115
REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.
I don't think there was much of a chance that they were using US cases on TV Rockets
The Real question though is how do you tell if it is Rhodium plated or not without chemical testing?
