Review of Jubilation XXV

To tell you all the truth, I waited a long time before I reviewed this absolute masterpiece. Two decants and now a 100ml bottle. Ambre Narguile is going to be my Thanksgiving scent and this is going to be Xmas eve and day scent. Stunning.

This is a great scent for winter.

Jut makes you feel like sitting by the fire in a cashmere or wool sweater, reading the newspaper.

The incensey vibe gives it a nice warmth that heats one's nostrils when he wears it in colder weather.

This has been a compliment getter. I was even told I smell yummy, which is kind of boggling because I don't see it as that kind of scent.

I wore it today for the first time. I like it... don't love it. If the freshness from the top stuck around for the entire ride, it would be great. I know that's not really possible, but I want it. I just don't have a lot of love for very much incense.

I find the Omani incense much brighter than most other incenses. It has a shimmering, transparent quality that makes it much different than something like Avignon or Montale Full Incense. Even Amouage Tribute Attar is darker than Jubilation XXV ( although in a smokey rather than church like way). I think the strong berry notes in the opening also help to keep this rather upbeat.
