Residue when stropping

I have a Craftsman strop that I brought back to life. However, I notice that when stropping, I get a leather residue on my blade that's identical to what forms with I was cleaning the strop with a pumice stone. I had thought that I had thoroughly cleaned off the strop. What can I do to get rid of this residue?

Try buffing it with a cloth then maybe a shoe shine brush. My old strop did this and that did the trick for it. Also working in some lather is helpful.

danjared,

Rub vigorously with a micro-fibre cloth; repeat for a few days; the residue should hopefully be gone:001_smile

Have fun !
