I'm a relative newbie to wetshaving, I've been doing it for about 6 months now and I'm starting to get the hang of things a little with regards to prepping, lathering, shaving, and after shave care. My first brush was a cheapo Escali badger brush from Amazon.

After using that brush for a while I thought that I might benefit from a something a bit nicer, so I upgraded to this one.

Immediately I noticed a huge difference in how much water the brush could hold and I could build a much better lather much more easily. Finally I begun to understand what a proper lather could be and shaving was a much more pleasurable experience. Having no other experience with other shaving brushes makes me wonder what else I could be missing if I were to get something a little better. After reading this forum for a while I see a lot of people talking about 2 band brushes and it seems that most of the high end brushes are not available in "Silvertip". I understand that there is no universal standard badger hair grading scale, which sort of makes the issue confusing for a relative newcomer.
I'm hoping to expand my brush experience hopefully with something a little better, but having such little brush experience I can't really tell you much in terms of specifics like "I need more backbone". I'm hoping to keep it under $100 if possible and your insight and recommendations are very much welcomed and appreciated.
I have a scuttle and I bowl lather, right now my soap of choice is Tabac. Sometimes I'll use some Proraso green cream, but I love Tabac.
