Recommend a GFT Soap

I have used (and am using) Trumpers Sandalwood and am looking for a suggestion for my Christmas wish list. I was think of Trumpers Rose. Any other suggestions??

I really love Limes. As far as that rose, you better make sure you really like a rose smell. Many folks do, and love GFT Rose, but I can't even be in the same room with a new, wrapped puck of it. And I won't buy an Almond, because I have read a couple of various reviews that they have put a good bit of floral scent in it. I don't know if that's so, but I have such an aversion to florals I'm not willing ro find out.

Limes. And I'm going to get the Coconut. The GFT lathers very well for me.

I am a big fan of the GFT soaps. I have them all with the exception of Coconut and Eucris. Hopefully the absence of the Eucris will be remedied after Christmas. I Enjoy them all and in fact I start my GFT rotation on Monday. I almost did not order the Violet because I thought that it would be too feminine but it has become one of my favorites as well as the cream. The Rose is a classic and, like all of the rest of the GFT soaps, a stand out performer.

Best regards,

Doug

I've not tried the soaps, but have all the creams. I love the rose and the GFT scent. Both are in my top 5 favorite products overall. If the soaps are anything like the creams, I vote for either of these.

It occurs to me that GFT isn't available as a soap, so I'll just recommend the rose!

Have the Rose and also the Eucris, both are top notch soaps, you can't go wrong with either.

I used the GFT rose soap today- good stuff. The lime is nice, also.

I just got a bowl of the coconut today and I used it for the first time. I was very impressed at how easy it was to whip up a nice lather with. Scent is very nice and the lather felt great during my shave, slick and cushioning. The price is on the higher end but considering how long soaps seem too last it's not really an issue.

This is true. I am a huge fan of most florals, and was shocked when I smelled my brand new GFT rose in its plastic wrapper and was completely disgusted. It was on the BST an hour later.

I have tried other rose-scented items since then and have realized that I just plain hate roses. It's odd, but it happens.

AND YOU MIGHT BE ONE OF THOSE INFECTED WITH DISTASTE OF ROSES. TELL YOUR FAMILY AND, AS WELL, YOUR FRIENDS ALSO!

Coconut. I despise florals.
Me too, and I can't help it, but it sure gets expensive trying out high end soaps when you can't smell them first. And since everyone's sense of smell AND perceptions of scents is so subjective, it's hard to get a handle on some of this stuff.

I know it's far-fetched, but I would love to see the top forty or fifty soap and cream makers develop inexpensive "scratch and sniff" cards they could distribute either themselves or through their vendors.

Here here!!!!!!! Or hear hear!!!!!

I've read several posts in the last year that Trumpers Almond shave soap has no almond scent whatsoever, and is even "grandmotherly". With all respect to grandmothers everywhere, can anyone who has used the almond soap (Trumpers) try and describe its scent. Would it be considered flowery? It even looks like flowers on the box picture.
