Ok....I'm in the market for another brush. I've got a Shavemac 177 silver tip, my Burma Shave boar, and an ERBE pure badger (the SWMBO absconded with). I'm looking for something around the same knot size as my Shavemac (23mm), but with a shorter loft and scrubbier with a nice backbone.
Recomend me a new brush

You just described a Rooney Super Silvertip. See Vintage Blades or the Truefitt and Hill website. There's a 20% discount at T&H for B&B members, and I think, free shipping if you phone in your order. The T&H brushes are just rebranded Rooneys and they're exactly the same, except for the label.

I'm guessing a X\2, or would that be in their Heritage line?
I meant one of these. You're talking about quite a bit more money once you get into the Heritage range of brushes. Unless money is no object or you fall in love with one of the Heritage handles, I'd say go with Super Silvertip.
