Razorock XXX

Pretty much, no. I got Razorock Fresco which I've heard is similar in scent. I can confirm that Fresco has fantastic performance.
Some say AdP (Acqua Di Parma - Tub Version) is the exact same stuff, but in a high-end packing. 
I've been looking for XX without much luck.
It's completely sold out - all venues. There are probably some, like me, who have accumulated small stockpiles for a rainy day
I have both the RazoRock XXX and the Fresco. To me,the scent of the Fresco is much different. Its a very pleasant,mild kind of mint scent.Very 'clean,refreshing scent.Much milder than XXX. But the lather it produces is terrific,IMO. A real bargain at less than $10.

Like Badger said ADP is the only replacement. I've had other slightly more luxurious lather's not by much. The protection of XXX is really something and that is what really makes it so special never mind the price is sold for. The scent is masculine but not too heavy, great stuff.

From what I have gleaned XXX and ADP were not the same thing.
But, given the XXX was sort of a one-off deal with a major producer (as I understand it) I suppose it is possible XXX was made whoever makes ADP. Perhaps a test of a reformulation or product expansion--or even just a batch that didn't quite pass QC. Or perhaps it was a trial of an ADP clone by another manufacturer.
I love my ADP, but don't have the means or the interest to spend that kind of cash on shave cream (mine was a gift). So like you, Nick, I have been scouring the earth for the XXX as well. I never tried the XXX is pretty close to ADP in scent and performance.
I've had both and I can say they are the same- same performance and scent. There is also a photo somewhere in one of these fora that I think was taken by RR; the bulk cream box had AdP stamped on the bottom.
same - if any differences in the forumula they were minute substitutions I would think. OLD ADP on the shelf as it does not sell super fast would have some color changes vs a fresh XXX, but get the ADP if it is worth the money to you, it is one of the best out there.
Joe just posted and seemed to infer that XXX is coming out in a cream as XX so you might hang for that. I like soaps but I will try one and if it rocks I would get a bunch. If this is an experiment with the ADP cream it may be a limited product.

With the cream comming out it's smart to dump the soap for the top price. The ADP bowl container is nice and can be re-used and should be factored in. XXX cover cap sucks.
If it is the same as RR La Famaglia, you are correct. Love the product, but not the cover.
There's a jar on the B/S/T right now, but it's $40. At that price, just go get the Acqua di Parma original. 1.1 oz. more in the ADP as well.
Plus the ADP container will score points with the chics as it adds some class to the shave den but a $25.00 savings is good and a $30.00 overcharge is bad - tough choice.
If it goes at that price, I may be (im)morally obligated to post my 2 back-up tubs for sale.
XXX is not worth the trouble. I can vouch for that one.
