Did I get it right, that the handle can be exchanged? Is this true for both options, I mean is it also possible to use it in Shavette mode when a different handle is applied?

It takes standard M5x0.8 handles. It just has an extra threaded post on one end of the head, and a threaded cap to put over the usual head when you're using it in shavette mode. @L.A. Jones photos show the cap in both locations.
