Razor Polishing Strategies

Thus far I've been polishing my razors by just applying the polish on with a cloth and then wiping it off with a clean rag. For some reason it seems a little awkward. Does anyone have any tips on how to polish my razors more effectively? I'm using maas

I've been using cloths (and toothbrushes) too. The dremel seems to be a possibility as discussed here. Now I've just got to quit buying razors to save for a dremel.

I read in Consumer Reports that using a toothbrush and toothpaste is too abrasive to use on silver. Is it too abrasive to use on chrome or nickel? As I mentioned earlier in a thread I started; Wright's Anti-Tarnish Silver Polish is top-rated by Consumer Reports.

Toothpaste isn't too abrasive for nickel or chrome. Those metals are WAY harder than silver or gold. Some toothpaste is more abrasive than others. I'm not sure I buy CR's opinion that all TP is too abrasive for silver or gold in general. Just use a soft brush and a less abrasive paste, and don't go crazy and I think you'll be fine. Wright's is good stuff though. But the best way to remove tarnish from silver is the baking soda, hot water trick. Also use. Silver that gets used doesn't tarnish in the first place.

I know nickel & chrome are much harder than gold or silver but didn't want to take any chances. Ditto on Wright's. Tried aluminum, baking soda hot water on the 1908 razor and it didn't work that well; that razor probably hadn't been used for a long time.
