Gillette slim adjustable and yes it'll provide great shaves for a newbie. Start with it on 3. If you don't feel it's aggressive enough for you dial it up on your next shave. Take your time. Don't get carried away fiddling with the adjustment. I'd stick with 3 for about a week if you're new the the DE.
