I'm relatively new to wet shaving - recently kitted myself out with a range of Edwin Jagger gear, and got myself everything I needed, except a stand for my razor/brush. I know that it's probably not necessary (read up on capilary) but I still want one for aesthetics and storage.
My problem is that I'm struggling to find a razor and brush stand that will hang the brush the way I want. I would like to hang the brush by the handle, NOT at the point where the knot joins the handle. The picture illustrates how I'd like it to hang, and this is also the style of stand I'd like as well.
So my brush is an EJ Medium Super Badger, and it is 31.8mm in diameter at the thinnest groove point and 37mm at the top of the handle. I've been looking for a razor and brush stand that is 31mm - 36mm at the brush opening but all the options I've found either don't ship to Australia, or ar out of stock. I figure 31mm is doable as I can probably bend it open a little if need be.
I have found stands at the following items that look like they'll work, but as I said they are either out of stock or don't ship to Australia:
