I have the Muhle 102 razor which has the same R41 head, but the handle is resin. I have discovered for me that due to this razor aggressive angle I get the most comfortable shaves and best shaves by just starting with an upward stroke going ATG. I begin at my neck line and just go towards the top of my cheeck bone. One pass pretty much has me done with just light buffering in some areas. I let my Gillette Tech handle my upper lip...

You can get an iKon handle for your R41 which works very well on them. I've done a few shaves with the R41 head on my iKon handle. Greg has them on sale now for $35 (if they are not sold out).

That handle was made by Cooncat Bob of Bobs Razor Works. He was a member here and made all manner of amazing handles for different razors. Unfortunately, we were recently informed that he passed away on April 5. He was the only one who made those handles. RIP Bob.
