What's new

R41, Oh how you disappoint

I received it in the post today, after reading for a year
They said you'd scrape my face off....they said my skin you'd shear
I had to find out for myself just whats all the comotion
I played it safe and also bought Sul Filo AS lotion

The babe's asleep, and mama's home, so to the den I ran
Took Muhle's aggressive razor and I held it in my hand
I marveled at the craftsmanship, the chrome was quite a sight
But that lonely Derby blade they sent would not be used tonight

I decided on a Silver Blue, and tightly it did fit
I gasped how much blade exposed and mumbled "Holy Sh*t"!!

I prepped my face with glycerin soap that I bought from Joe at IB
If I shed as much blood as they say I will, then I should also prep an I.V.
I lathered in my Dirty Bird with Proraso's sandalwood
I have to say, on this cold night, warm lather feels real good

I completed two passes on my face, WITH and AGAINST the grain
I was careful with my angle so I'd not feel any pain
No drag, no pull, no tugging was ever felt against my cheeks
I'd not get any weepers... or nicks with bloody leaks

I have to say I'm disappointed on how this shave turned out
I'd not lost any skin patches, no limbs I'd be without
I didn't chop my neck off like those other guys had said
I had expected to call 911. I expected I'd be DEAD!

Who would have guess I'd have a face as smooth as it could be?
Or that I'd post my shave review, in rhyme on B & B.
I thought my post would be filled with anger, on a tizzy I would rant
But instead I had an awesome shave, maybe better than my slant...

Oh how I'm disappointed now, as you can plainly see
That I'll have to keep this in my rotation...and not on the B/S/T

Thanks for reading,

Brad

Hey Brad: Wow... you got that beast of a razor to behave.

Glad the R41 gave you a helluva shave.

I hope you still have some love for your 37 or 39C

And we do not see it sold in tomorrow's B/S/T.:biggrin1:

Brad, that was AWESOME.... some people have all the talent. Now of course, we will be looking for more from you. Halloween and Christmas are coming up. <G>

I bought the short handle (only one available at the time I purchased the R41), but I ditched it immediately. It's way too slippery. I use my iKon Bulldog handle with it, and it's perfect. If you're not a sloppy shaver like me, you'll probably be fine with either handle. It's just personal preference.

I'm also thinking about buying one. Do you guys prefer the long or the normal handle?
