going to order one today but im torn in which handle to get. can you give me your opinions and why you chose one over the other?? is there that much of a difference in the two?

mainly the handle. whats the real difference between the two and is the added weight of the grande worth it? it it to large of a handle? does it help with the shave etc. really wished for a grande rose gold but i emailed many sellers and was told there is no plans they know of for the grande in rose gold unless i got bad info?
is the handle the same width just one longer then the other or is it longer and wider then the standard version? also im coming from a ej89 and hd to this.

The added weight can signifacantly alter the shave to a satisfactory result. The difference can be a less irritation and better shave. I contacted Muhle(1-2 days ago) in regards to a rose gold Grande but have not heard anything from them as of yet. Seeing as how responsive they are as a company, I can't see them leaving rose gold Grande money on the table. I'm willing to wait for now......
I have the Grande but I wish I had the regular. After using various razors I find the shorter handle easies to use and easier when shaving tight spaces. I love the razor but I also had a custom handle make by Rudy Vey so I keep the weight but with a shorter handle.

yeah i was worried about the added length of the handle. i wish it was the same length but just heavier..does anyone know what the weight difference if between the two handles?
I have both the standard handle and the Grande. I much prefer the Grande. I just checked the weight on mine. 37g for the standard and 62g for the Grande. Please keep in mind that Muhle recently changed the handle designs. I have the original design.
the standard muhle handle is hollow and if you dare you could pull out the threaded end and fill it to make it heavier. That being said I like the standard handle on the muhle better than my de89 barley

yeah im looking at the current designs handle wise. i own the barley. what do you like better about it?
I just like the slightly longer and heavier handle. I've used aftermarket handles with the R41 and I like the difference, but the Grande seems to be the sweet spot for me. YMMV of course. For example, I thought I would like the giant handle on the Merkur 39C slant - not even close. The 37C is better for me in every way. The Grande Muhle handle, however, is not overly obtrusive to me and balances the razor very nicely.

Guess that means I'll be purchasing a 2013 R41 that looks exactly like my 2011 R41 except for the head geometry-but no need to wait any longer before ordering!
