I have recently been trying to narrow down my sporadic, wide variety of cologne use to a more constant routine. I want to find a signature scent, and just mix it up occasionally, but have a smell that people will identify with me. So far, only one scent fits that description: you probably guessed C&S 88 and would be correct. My only problem is it has HORRID staying power on me. It's especially frustrating because I read all these reviews (on here and basenotes) about great longevity and silage, but I'm not so lucky. I suppose it might just be my body chemistry.
Now, my usual cologne application consists of just one spray to my lower neck, right at the pulse point. With most of my colognes this will last approximately 5 hours, give or take. I have a cologne or two that I need to apply two sprays to achieve this result, but I don't mind. With C&S 88 I have been wearing two sprays to my neck and one to my wrist (which I then rub on my other wrist) and the scent is gone in about TWO hours. It's really quite disheartening... I'm wondering if those of you out there who get good longevity from their 88 could tell me how/where they apply it. Perhaps I need to change something up to get this cologne to stick around... Any advice is appreciated!
