Question about observance at antique shop?

I was at an antique shop the other day, and the guy had a Gillette slim adjustable and the closing mechanism was misaligned. I was going to buy it, as I could run it through an ultrasonic and it would probably clean up fine, but is there anyway to fix the closing mechanism or is there no point to buying it?

Edit: by misaligned i mean it doesn't close all the way on one side.

If the razor is in good shape it might be worth the $5-6...

Without seeing it,, it is hard to tell exactly what the problem may me....

Check the tabs on the silo doors... These are the two pieces on either end that are the 'camming surface' of the open/close mechanism... If they are severely bent,, trying to return them to their original condition might break them off completely....

If everything else is mechanically sound,, the finish is good,, and the adjuster moves freely (loosen the silo doors before turning),, it's worth the price just for parts...

If you want to use it,,, somebody out there has an extra silo door,, I'm sure.....

could anyone tell me how I would go about disassembling it? and How to go about disassembling other gillette models (superspeed, aristocrat, red tip)?
