question about coticule layer. give me your thoughts.

today arrived one coticule that i bought from ebay from razors_pl

i don't understand too much about coticules, but when i was looking i saw there was a side that really doesn't look ok IMO. one of the sides there is a thick layer that it doesn't look the yellow belgian coticule, that thing is between the bbw and the yellow side.



here are some pictures i would like to tell what that is, and what happens when lapping achives this level?

I won the auction for 110 plus 25 dollars shipping.. and it is a 7x2 size....

was it really worth it?

I am no coticule expert, but in my opinion...- Looks like a La Grise, and 110 is a good price. Jarrod sell that size for ~175. The bottom is not BBW, but slate, and the material you see between the two is glue.
