Quality Dry Sherry?

Can any of you experts reccommend a good dry sherry?

I love Manzanilla Sherry, try the Lustau Almacenista Pasada Manzanilla, Lustau Solera Reserva Manzanilla Papirusa or La Guita Manzanilla. Dry quality Sherry is one of the hidden gems in the world of wine imo, and very reasonable priced compared to the high quality.

I was drinking quite a bit of Osborne manzanilla (grabbed a bunch of bottles when they were being clearanced out at $2.49 each!) back when the weather was warmer, very nice stuff (as dry as they get, really). I drink finos and manzanillas during the summer months, but the rest of the year I prefer something with a bit more backbone like an amontillado. Currently guzzling a bottle of Sandeman "Character" amontillado - good stuff at $15, though I prefer the Lustau bottlings....

+1. I love Lustau's stuff. I like the dry Oloroso offerings a lot, but the Manzanilla, etc. is excellent.

Gonzales Byass Elegante Fino is very nice and smooth. Lovely if you serve it chilled....and in a "proper" wine glass rather than one of those silly schooners.
