Pure badgers in shop: rare in Holland

Here in Holland it is very rare to find a pure Badger (not to mention the fine badger and silvertip) in the regular shops.
If you want a pure badger, you have to find it on internet, or in a few local old skool barbershops (I only know 2 of them in Holland).

Today I was in a shop were there were 2 pure badgers!

One was 21,95 euro (31 dollar) this:

Other one was 29,95 euro (43 dollar):

What you think of the prices? The last one I never heard of....

Congratulations on finding those brushes! They look nice, and the prices seem fair. :thumbup1:

I think the Dutch are a little rare

Old barbershops:
Herenkapsalon 'Eric' P. Flanderhijn / Leiden.
The Dutch Shaving Shop / Breukelen = Brooklyn :smartass:

In Amsterdam is a shop in Magna Plaza named Shu Uemura,
which sells eShave brushes and Merkur.

Let us know how they perform !!!

Dus, Eelco, je bent het met mij eens dat het erg zeldzaam is in Nederland. Ik zag in zwolle ook nog een zaak die wat moderne houders verkocht. Maar inderdaad, erg zeldzaam.

Translation:
So, Eelco, you agree with me that it is very rare in Holland. In Zwolle (Dutch town) I also saw a shop where you can find modern handles for razors. But indeed, very rare.

Just forget about finding high end badger shaving brushes in Holland...this country is just too mediocre for those fine luxury shaving items...

A Dutchman does not care about grooming, in general. Why? They get embarresed when their wife sees them putting a hydrating creme on.:lol:

I totally agree with you.
I think the Dutch are too mediocre/cheap :a36: .
When you look at our neighbour country Germany:
You can buy much more luxury stuff there...
Douglas (perfume shops in Europe) in Germany sells Plisson & Hans Baier brushes :w00t: !
Not 1 but much (+40) from cheap to very expensive (+ € 300,=).
Walhalla :c16:

Oh I'll be in Amsterdam next month, that's another shop to add onto my list :w00t:

Hey guys, it isn't like you can buy badger brushes in gas stations here in the US. Seems that most of us are going to the web for these items unless you live in a BIG city.
