Purchasing a Parker 51

I'm wanting to buy a Parker 51 fountain pen.I've already posted a WTB on the BST forum and still no leads so I was wanting any recommendations on an internet store I could purchase one from.

You could check Peyton Street Pens. They are advertising a number of Parker 51s right now, starting at $85. I got my Aerometric 51 from them a couple of years ago.

I also got a Vacumatic 51 for $85 a few months later from an eBay seller who restores them himself, but I'm darned if I can remember the seller's name now, which is a shame, as he seems to have done a good job. Maybe somebody else can recommend a safe eBay seller.

Unless you really really wan't one for a collection, they are asking way too much for those 51s in most places.

I didn't see a 51 under $150- no thanks on that. Not to be snarky, but I could get a vintage Pelikan for that kind of money.
If The OP wants a ready to go one right this second, its not going to come cheap. BST or live auctions, out in the wild, then send off for repair is much cheaper but takes time to do.

a want to buy or check out the listings on FPN would be a better option in this case, as you may be able to go under 100. but i dont think you will find much better then 150 for what is being asked in regards to a website store. some people dont mind spending the extra money for the security of buying this way. knowing what you are getting and where it is coming from is a better option for some, Its really up to the OP to decide whats right for him
