So I finally did it, I ordered my first straight razor (green pakkawood dovo). I'm really pumped up and nervous at the same time!

I am guessing you have a strop? Is the razor coming to you from a reputable vendor and is he honing it to a trully shave ready condition? I ask because Dovo razors are sharp from the factory but likely lacking true "Shave readiness"

When you get that first smooth shave from a really nice blade it's awesome. A small learning curve and a little blood comes with it. Just work through it. lol. Enjoy
