Normally I wouldn't bother to give extra advertising to a retail chain, but ...

Brooks Brothers is having a "days of Christmas" (or some such thing) daily sale going on. Every day it's a different 'theme' that lasts only one day.


Today it's 40% off all leather. (Cordovan appears not to be included.) I mention this because their Peal & Co. shoes are fantasitc and made by top-notch English shoemakers. At 40% off they are a good deal.

And they are at least the equal of (and probably better than) the the oft-touted Alden and Allen Edmonds shoes from the good ol' US of A.
