I recently put some stuff up on the BST for trade (and still have several unused Mike's samples for trade if anyone is interested!) and ended up picked up some Proraso red. I had tried it before and thought it was foul, and maybe the tube I initially got was. It smelled very musty and moldy to me, and I quickly gave it away to a coworker.
I really like sandalwood, and my favorite scent is QCS Mysore, which is a very mild, subtle scent and very natural. I got the Proraso Red again and swear this is a much nicer scent than the last tube I tried. Much cleaner, crisper, still a bit of an artificial sandalwood scent, but I swear it's different than the last tube I had. This tube is so nice I actually didn't have to shave and just whipped up a lather and applied it to my face and rinsed just so I could enjoy the scent afterward! It does seem to maybe be drying my face out a touch like the Proraso green did, but I also was messing around this morning with other goodies I traded for and making test lathers. Either way, I hope you accept my apology, Proraso Red for insulting you in the past and saying you smell like moldy old grandpa!
