My brother's wife bought him the Proactiv 3 step system and apparently it worked for him. He found he didn't use the small repairing lotion bottle and gave it to me thinking it might help with my occasional ingrowns. I've had this about six months and I must say it does a great job of eliminating ingrown bumps - typically in a couple days, bumps disappear. If I use it once the bumps are large-ish, they disappear much quicker than if I don't (these bumps would get very large and take 3 or 3 weeks to completely go away). Only complaint is that, now that I need a refill, it appears I can only buy the entire three step system rather than just the repairing lotion. I am going to try Tendskin as an alternative.

Tendskin works.... but it is pricey and smelly. It's not a particularly pleasent product to use. But in my experience it works for razor bumps and burn. Of course all of those products for ingrowns and razor bumps don't work instantly. They all take a day or two to do the job they're intended for. I've always had a difficult time evaluating products like that.

I've been using Clubman Bump Repair Gel for years and it works great.

I use them if I feel an ingrown coming on, if that makes sense. For me, the bump repair gel works quickly and keeps the ingrown from erupting.
